Thursday Thread: Best Memory Loss Flick
With history feeling like it's about to repeat, I'm in the mood to forget... You?
To keep working, I depend on the financial support of gotham girl’s readers and sponsors. I know your resources are precious too. And so, I am ridiculously grateful for your help. Now, more than ever, gotham girl could use your support.
Hello, Lovelies, Happy almost-Friday…
Ok, this should be an easy thread everyone has an opinion on… Best memory loss flick of all time? I feel like I LIVE Memento each day and Eternal Sunshine I have sadly wished for, but Bourne…
Now Bourne—the first one—I think waking up each day with a curious new ability or a new language and figuring out how I got this way is terribly relatable given our current zeitgeist. So, Bourne, but without all the traumatic self-loathing and cutthroat assassins chasing me everywhere because, if I’m honest, my krav maga is not all that.
So, divine readers, there has to be more than these few from Out of the Past! Do weigh in with your unforgettable brain-erase flick… What is it? It’s a convention used more often than you realize.
OK, now you go!

Memento and Eternal Sunshine are my top two for sure. 50 First Dates probably takes 3rd place. I admittedly haven't watched the Bourne series (no idea why, I love a good action flick with a soul) so must rectify that 😊
You're giving me some ideas to watch soon! Eternal Sunshine has stolen my heart forever. Coincidentally I watched Bourne films for the first time recently and rewatched Total Recall. Did you ever see this funny skit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcK-My1j9Hg&t=1s? Hilarious stuff.
