Thursday Thread: The Schitt's Creek Version of Your Life ? 😂
It might be good to run that scenario! For the record, I suck at the country.

Hello, Lovelies, How the hell are you?
My regular post is delayed this week mostly due to dental Torquemada, but also I seem to be caught in an extended episode of Schitt’s Creek where tonight my 86-year-old father, my ne’er-do-well brother, my nephew, and I in my silly little cardigan were all hovering in the dark amid hurricane-like winds over an ancient generator trying feverishly to get it to start. (Have I said lately how much I miss the city?)
Due to a big storm and PG&E’s utter ineptitude, I am trapped here with my mad relations without power, water, or steady WiFi for four whole days. No telly, music, or lights… unless powered by the generator.
Now I realize I have zero to bitch about given what everyone is going through on the East Coast and in war zones, but it made me think… I could do a hell of a lot better job planning for these Schitt’s Creek scenarios. I’d need a whole lot of weed gummies to make my family more agreeable, battery packs for everyone’s laptops and iPads, no-cook storm snacks, jigsaw puzzles, and light sticks like they have at raves for people to go to the loo. And the generator, while it is a godsend… is noisy and stinky as all get-out and I can even hear the neighbor yelling at his right now… so maybe some way to make that less awful???
Mostly, I need everyone to enjoy the Schitt’s Creek-ness of it all… I’m trying to step up into my Moira-ness tonight (I have met Catherine O’Hara—who is so wonderful—she dwarfs me!)
But what about you? What would the Schitt’s Creek version of your life be? Would it be a storm? A burnout? A wild bankruptcy? A great escape?
Don’t be timid… Yours in the Schitt - xoxo - gotham girl
PS - I am a human typo. Amnesty appreciated.
I hope you and your loved ones get through this soon, love! <3
Yikes, sympathies. I’m not too handy without amenities. Hope you’re back on the grid soon. Sounds like a chance to get some writing done!
