Love the mention of The Royal Tennenbaums as it made me think of them...crazy shit and I want to be one of them as well as the Glass Family - thank you JD Salinger. I think I am really one of the Glass family. "Night and Fog" beyond disturbing, unsettling, memorable and mind embedding footage..
GOD I needed that Moonlighting clip! Is it just me or does that classic song kinda sum up women's midlife experience of the men in our lives?? Anyway, I'm down for a women's late-life commune situation, but I beg you, no castles! Something modern, air-conditioned and grocery-store adjacent would suit me fine :)
Isn't that Moonlighting clip a gem? And the lyrics are perf midlife... "I love you, now get out!" (so I can GSD!) Castles can be very drafty and hard to heat, so that concern had crossed my mind. And def grocery/farm market adjacent! I've been thinking about Jony Ive... the former head of design from Apple... he is now making these modern solar ADUs... https://www.samara.com// I'd need loads of French doors thrown open for light, but I'm curious to see how or if they evolve into something more sophisticated over time. You could have gorgeous land by the sea, and a whole colony of them in a Nancy Meyers/Ina Garten- coastal gran fantasy??? Just one more idea for the hat :)
OMFG these units are fantastic! Yes please, a colony of these by the sea with a Farmer's Market nearby and also a performance venue and a bookstore and dressmaker and maybe some kind of spa situation? And is it too much to ask for a few good restaurants within walking distance? And while we're world-building, I'd also like to ride a horse now and then, and go to the movies once in a while.
ALL of this!!! Especially walkable restaurants, a bookstore, movies, and horses! Would love to invite dressmakers in residence to come and stay for however long and make :) Thinking https://emiliawickstead.com/ but really any the group welcomed :)
YES! She owns her power in every way and it is so refreshing. I understand why we are all crushing on her so hard. I hope she gets her own show one of these days. I'd watch her in anything at this point.
