Inspired. TST post coming soon to answer this question. I do love the idea of a ramshackle house filled with books, though. That sounds wonderfull.

I just want a house that's big enough to hold dinner parties (and any guests who might have overly enjoyed themselves and need to stay the night). I mean, I've done some DP's at my teeny tiny place, but it's nicer if your guests don't have to put the plates on their laps. My friends are chill, though. That would be my idea of heaven...hosting a monthly dinner party (fall/winter) or brunch (spring/summer) because heaven also has a backyard and pool. And there will be dancing. xo

Oh, I feel you on the DP dream... I do not have enough room in SF for serious DPs. If could, I would be making monthly full moon dinner parties and celebrating every holiday to the nth degree. It's a little sad, I feel like the people in my immediate family have the best set-ups for dinners, but they have such rigid mindsets--their dinner parties aren't actually fun unless you sneak in the fun in subversive ways... Oh, but heaven is dancing with all your friends... and a pool without a heating bill because then no one gets uptight when I crank it up to 80 😂

That all sounds positively lovely. I would only add chocolate lava cake to the mix, other than that, you've nailed heaven as far as I'm concerned. Swap out your family for mine and that's a wrap. (But hopefully not anytime soon. Still gotta figure out this life first!) xo

I'm a student of Buddhism, SO my version of heaven would be Nirvana / Enlightenment, BUT, one can do somethings like feasting, drinking, etc. instead of constant meditation. Also, one can be taught by mystics like Rumi, Tagore, Bodhidarma, Lao - Dzu, Gautama, Kahlil Gibran, & others. One can explore the universe to find other truths. & EVERYONE is humble but with a flame of divinity. & the sky belongs to everyone.

Cats AND dogs, among other creatures. Even FISH, although they're not SOCIABLE. The kittens can always gnosch on a juicy carp or Neon Tetra !
