I believe that goodness will not only prevail but shine and create a movement so powerful it cannot, will not, be diminished by this silly regime. Empress is a force and, like you so eloquently expressed, may be taxed, but will never stop. ❤️

I'm so impressed (Empressed?) by what you are doing. We need more of this kind of energy in the world. I'm going to order the book right now.

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones had a photo of a crotch with a working zipper on their album cover called STICKY FINGERS, but I guess it's okay when it's a guy's zipper. Fingers crossed the tariff situation gets worked out and the book gets into readers' hands soon!

It's launching on 6/24 from Simon & Schuster--but you're so right about the sexism and, well... ageism because the same distributor that banned us also distributes ACOTAR, which is FULL of X-rated nookie between twenty-somethings! But if you're over 38, forget it! It's porn! Thankfully, that's fixed... The tariff issue is harder to gauge; we're going to have to be creative.

We're going to be OK, but the uncertainty and figuring out... are a doozy!

Thanks, Weston! 😂 That means everything. :) So many of our vendors are saying they're not raising their prices, so we are holding fast.⛵️ ☸️

This SO sucks, but I'm glad you ladies aren't stopping. I love that the books are made with bamboo. That's frickin' awesomesauce. How do you keep all the balls in the air that you're juggling? Running this biz, that... ahem OTHER project, your own writing (you're writing, right?).

Oh, I am writing... :) And we're just lucky to have had such wise counsel on handling the ban and these tariffs. People really stepped up to help us, and we're so grateful.

Paper not made from trees? What is it made from? Thats amazing. I just hope it’s not toxic. Maybe tariffs will inspire more new US printers which nourishes competition and lower prices. But that would take time. Sigh.

It's made from bamboo! Can you imagine??? And no, not at all toxic - there are very strict standards. :) It would take years for US paper and printers to innovate - one can only hope they eventually catch on, but we do so by building bridges, not through retaliatory nonsense. :)
